Verlissa attended DeVry technical institute and University of Illinois-Chicago earlier on. Acting on her passion for interior design attended Harrington College of Design in Chicago where she received a BFA in Interior Design in 2006.
Shortly after beginning her career in the interior design industry began working as a designer assistant for a renowned Naperville kitchen and bath design showroom working closely with key designers. Joining Kitchen and Bath Authority creating drawings, space planning, assisting clients with material selection as well as creating great relationships with clients year after year inspired her to further her design career.
Simultaneously working in retail and management with a major nationwide retail company along with satisfying her passion and pride for design. Retiring from one industry after 36 years of service to continue acting on design opportunities which involved her acquisition of Kitchen and Bath Authority while working with local businesses to provide a stable economy in the community. Keeping with the integrity of the company’s name and longstanding presence in the community as well as creating opportunities for a medley of up and coming designers as well as qualified designers with years of experience in efforts to meet the aesthetic and functional needs of our clients.

Marilyn brings over 20 years’ experience in remodeling to every
project. She prides herself on creating spaces that suit the individual needs of her clients.
In today’s market, she recognizes that budget awareness is a big part of her job, and works with budgets large and small!
She attended Brookdale Community College in New Jersey and graduated with a degree in interior design, and also studied at Parsons School of Design in New York.
Marilyn enjoys working with homeowners to design solutions that are both functional and beautiful, and as personal as each customer’s lifestyle.
